On behalf of Gordon & Smith, the San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame invites the community to gather in loving memory of Eric Gordon, a beloved figure and integral part of the iconic Gordon & Smith (G&S) family business. With heavy hearts, we come together to honor and reflect on a life deeply loved and profoundly missed.

Eric Gordon, part of the second generation of G&S, dedicated his life to continuing the legacy forged by his father, Larry Gordon, and Floyd Smith. Working alongside his sister Debbie, Eric was deeply involved in every aspect of the company, from the intricate art of shaping surfboards to the comprehensive management of the factory. His passion for surfing was immense, matched only by his unwavering dedication to the sport and the vibrant community surrounding it.

Eric’s sudden passing has been met with an outpouring of grief from the surf and skate communities worldwide, who remember him for his kindness, his passion, and his steadfast commitment to the heritage of G&S. Join us as we remember Eric and celebrate the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
