  • Event Changes/Cancellations: SDSHOF reserves the right to change event dates, times, locations, or content, or to cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, venue issues, health concerns). In case of cancellation, attendees will be notified regarding refund or rescheduling options.
  • Waiver of Liability (for physical events like paddle outs): Participation in certain SDSHOF events, such as paddle outs, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to those associated with ocean conditions, water activities, and physical exertion. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with the event. You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your participation. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s consent and understanding of these terms.
  • Photography/Videography: By attending SDSHOF events, you grant the San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame permission to use your likeness in photographs, videos, or other recordings for promotional, educational, or archival purposes, without compensation.

6. Sponsorships

  • Sponsorship agreements are subject to separate written contracts or agreements. These Terms and Conditions apply to the general use of the website but do not supersede specific terms outlined in formal sponsorship agreements.

7. Donations & Membership

  • Donations: All donations made to the San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
  • Membership: Membership terms, benefits, and fees are subject to specific details outlined on the membership page or in separate membership agreements. SDSHOF reserves the right to modify membership terms and benefits at its discretion.
