The San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame is thrilled to highlight a special cross-border event celebrating surf culture, community spirit, and environmental stewardship! Join us for the RE RIP MEXICO Reception Event in beautiful Rosarito.

This gathering on August 10th at Plaza Km 40.5 is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and support Mexican surfing alongside RERIP and the generous backing of Patagonia.

What is RERIP? RERIP, supported by Patagonia and an incredible team of volunteers, is a passionate initiative dedicated to keeping surfboards and other valuable surf gear out of landfills. They work tirelessly to collect disused equipment throughout California, transforming it through repair, thoughtful donation to those in need, and creative repurposing into unique art pieces. Their mission is a powerful call to action: join, donate, or participate, and together we can take better care of our precious ocean and beaches.

How You Can Support: Your contribution makes a significant difference! We encourage you to bring your used boards, wetsuits, and surf accessories to donate. Every contribution counts towards empowering local surfers and promoting vital sustainability practices.

Day’s Activities Include:

• Equipment Collection: Help RERIP gather as much equipment as possible to support local surfers in Mexico.
